ELEPHANT AND CASTLE
Elephant And Castle is a grim part of London in Southwark. And it’s the station at the end of the south
portion of the Bakerloo
Line. My first exposure to the place
was through the Jim Davidson
eighties sitcom Up The
Elephant And Round The Castle. Not
good.

OLD STREET
Old Street is situated in east London . There is legend that it used to connect Silchester to Colchester. These days though it is quite run down
looking, not least the roundabout that houses the tube station. In my circles it is perhaps best known for
previously housing the Foundry
bar and these days has XOYO just around the
corner.

DALSTON JUNCTION
Dalston has somehow become a hip part of
town. I don’t see it myself but it is a
handy mid point between Islington and The City.

SLOANE SQUARE
Sloane Square sits at the end of King’s Road in the Chelsea
area of London and thus is a very affluent and expensive area of town to find
yourself in.
Its overrated.

PIMLICO
Pimlico is a really nice part of London situated in Westminster
and sat next to Belgravia. It is within reach of the Thames and places such as the Tate Britain. The properties are breathtaking and
expensive and yet somehow over the years I have managed to encounter people
that live there. These are very
careerist and driven individual who I sadly possess time to fully appreciate
their surroundings. Maybe I’m wrong.
It is perhaps best known from the Ealing comedy Passport To Pimlico.

WEST HAMPSTEAD
I once went out with a lady from West Hampstead. She was quite posh with a double-barrelled
name and thus as result I thought West Hampstead was posh. I was wrong.

WESTMINSTER
Westminster is the big important part of London where the powers that be make the big decisions that affect our lives. This is marked by the huge sight of Big Ben overlooking proceedings. This is London from a past time.

LATIMER ROAD
Latimer Road is a rough part of North West London despite being in close proximity of Holland Park, Shepherd’s Bush, Ladbroke Grove and Notting Hill. It’s a tower block region.

CALEDONIAN ROAD
Situated just around the corner from Kings Cross, Caledonian Road is a long sprawling road in north London. Personally I have always felt a bad vibe from the place, which in the past has tended to manifest into anger. This may or may not related to the fact that it is near Pentonville Prison.

MANOR HOUSE
Manor House is a rough part of North London that rubs up against the east of Finsbury Park. My experience of the area was a mixed one as I visited a work colleague’s flat there a number of times in late 2007 and early 2008, having to do the walk of shame.
